Pure Phunk Recordings: In Stores Now!!

Our 10th Vinyl release is on the shelves now! Pure Phunk Recordings is pleased to present a Canadian first... a Hip Hop icon bridging the gap between the urban community and the underground electronic dance floors.

Canadian legend Maestro Fresh Wes has allowed Pure Phunk Recordings, a leader in Canadian Electronic Dance Music, to remix one of his latest works from his latest album 'Urban Landmark'. For this challenging and highly honorable task, the label chose 2 of their top artists for the remix duties.

Both the soon-to-be legendary Myagi and the newcomer Lucas Hart work wonders with their remixes in their own respective ways. Both high-energy remixes are aimed at the underground dancefloor but have a distinct funkiness to them to make them each a favorite to any dance music lover.

As well, our second digital release on sub-label Pure Phunk Digital is online and ready for your downloading pleasure.

We're thrilled to be able to offer up the first commercial release of Toronto underground artist Pronobozo. "Future Fix" is an up-tempo, melodic tune with a bouncy beat and hypnotic vocal provided by ‘Maze’. This tune is the signature of pronobozo’s style. While being electronically generated, it still retains elements that appeal to a wide cross section of people. "Future Fix" could easily rock a nightclub dance floor or an iPod on the subway.

The second part of the release is the Kung Fu influenced "Kicks & Flips". Inspired by his work with the Xtreme Martial Artists of Team Ryouko, Pronobozo delivers a high energy, acid-line laden tune that captures the energy of the team in musical form.

Pure Phunk Podcast: Now Online!

The Podcast is now online and ready to go! If you subscribe, each and every Friday there will be a new mini-mix downloaded to your media player absolutely free! The music will consist of whatever I feel like playing... so there. Breaks, Jungle, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Old-school, NuSchool... you'll hear it all eventually.

Internet radio giant Iceberg Media has enlisted the help of D-Monic in an effort to help broaden the musical minds of their many thousands of listeners.

On January 26th, Iceberg Radio launched its first 'All Breaks' streaming Internet radio channel. This channel rounds out their 'Electronica' section which already contains a house channel, a trance channel, a drum & bass channel, and an assortment of variety 'Electronica' channels.
